Senior IT Project Manager Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives that are critical to the stability, security, and resilience of the organization. This role is responsible for driving complex infrastructure programs—spanning cloud, data center, network, identity, endpoint, and security domains—while ensuring alignment with cybersecurity standards, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

As the hiring manager, I am looking for a seniorlevel project leader who combines strong delivery discipline with a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, and who can confidently partner with infrastructure, security, and executive stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Infrastructure Program Leadership

• Lead largescale infrastructure and cybersecurity projects from initiation through stabilization
• Manage complex, multiworkstream initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, network modernization, identity programs, security tooling rollouts)
• Own delivery across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans that account for technical and operational dependencies

Infrastructure & Platform Delivery

• Oversee projects across core infrastructure domains, including:
• Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Data center and hosting environments
• Network and connectivity (LAN/WAN, SDWAN)
• Identity and access management (IAM)
• Endpoint, collaboration, and workplace technologies
• Coordinate closely with infrastructure engineers, architects, operations, and service providers
• Ensure operational readiness, transition to support, and documentation are built into delivery

Cybersecurity Integration & Risk Management

• Embed cybersecurity requirements and controls into all infrastructure initiatives
• Partner with Information Security, GRC, and Risk teams to:
• Address security architecture and design considerations
• Track and remediate security risks and findings
• Support audits, assessments, and compliance activities
• Manage delivery of securityfocused initiatives such as:
• Identity modernization (Zero Trust, MFA)
• Endpoint protection and EDR
• Network security enhancements
• Incident response and resilience improvements

Executive & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a trusted delivery partner to IT leadership, security leadership, and business executives
• Communicate complex infrastructure and security topics in clear, executivelevel terms
• Provide concise reporting on status, risks, and decision points
• Facilitate steering committees and escalation forums as needed

Governance, Compliance & Operational Excellence

• Enforce disciplined project governance, change control, and risk management practices
• Ensure alignment with IT, security, and compliance frameworks
• Maintain auditready project artifacts and documentation
• Contribute to infrastructure and security roadmaps, portfolio planning, and prioritization

Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide coaching and guidance to project managers and delivery team members
• Help mature infrastructure and security delivery standards and best practices
• Act as a role model for execution rigor, accountability, and collaboration

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10- 15 + years of IT project management experience, with significant focus on infrastructure initiatives.
