IT Support Specialist

Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a prominent and long-standing national organization in their search for an IT Support Specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior technical professional to provide essential support to end users across both local and remote office environments. Based in the head office in Winnipeg, this onsite role offers the chance to manage hardware lifecycles, troubleshoot diverse software applications, and learn from experienced mentors within a collaborative IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive level 1 and 2 technical support via phone, in-person, or through a formal ticketing system.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of desktop and laptop hardware, including procurement, initial rollout, migrations, and necessary upgrades.
  • Maintain highly accurate hardware asset inventory records for all networked devices, including computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Administer and troubleshoot mobile devices, desk phones, and cloud-based communication systems.
  • Install and manage software licenses while providing expert support for the Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized peripheral repairs or complex technical issues.Support onboarding and offboarding processes for users across multiple business units.
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a dedicated IT support or helpdesk role.
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent blend of education and practical experience.
  • Technical proficiency with Windows 11 and the Microsoft Office ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk tools (such as JIRA) and remote management applications (such as ConnectWise or ScreenConnect).
  • Exposure to VMware/Veeam Backup, Airwatch MDM, or FortiEDR is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on high-quality customer service and relationship building.Ability to travel within Canada as required and a self-driven approach to learning new technologies.
