Job Description
Job Role: Physics Teacher
Location: DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon
The Physics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective physics instruction to middle school students following CBSE and/or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum frameworks. The teacher will foster scientific inquiry, conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and practical application of physics concepts while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver physics lessons aligned with CBSE and/or IB curriculum standards.
- Teach physics concepts including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, energy, optics, and modern physics.
- Develop inquiry-based and student-centred learning experiences.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Design assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and progress reports.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology and digital tools into classroom teaching.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific investigation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, parent-teacher meetings, and school activities.
- Support students in academic competitions, exhibitions, and science fairs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or related field.
- B.Ed. or teaching qualification preferred.
- Experience teaching CBSE and/or IB curriculum preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and laboratory management skills.
