Transportation Manager - Logistics

Role Overview:

You are a senior Transportation Manager with expertise in city-level operations, last-mile logistics, fleet optimization, cost control, and P&L management. Your role involves managing large-scale transportation operations, ensuring high service levels, and driving efficiency across Mumbai and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end transportation & last-mile delivery operations across city/region
• Manage large delivery fleets (own & vendor), route planning, and hyper-local operations
• Own P&L for transportation, focusing on cost optimization and ROI improvement
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as OTD, delivery speed, cost per delivery, NPS, complaints & fill rates
• Drive process excellence, system hygiene, and operational scalability
• Identify and eliminate operational leakages; implement continuous improvement initiatives (5S, FEFO, Six Sigma mindset)
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Warehouse, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Infra & Maintenance
• Handle vendor management, contracts, negotiations, and compliance
• Lead, mentor, and retain large on-roll & off-roll teams; maintain low attrition
• Conduct competitor and market analysis at pin-code / hyper-local level to support expansion
• Ensure safety, statutory, and operational compliance across transportation activities

Qualification Required:

• MBA (Operations / Supply Chain) - Preferred
• B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical or related)
• Six Sigma / Supply Chain Certifications - Added Advantage

Additional Details:

You are expected to have a background in quick commerce, FMCG, logistics, e-commerce, or large-scale city operations. Proven experience in managing high-volume, time-critical transportation networks and strong leadership skills are essential. It is mandatory for you to be Mumbai-based with owned residential property. Role Overview:
