SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES OVERALL

- Evaluate and recommend social media software and platforms.
- Maintain an understanding of partners’ brand voice and create authentic stories that drive engagement and revenue.
- Find opportunities to help evolve and share Kinship’s own story in practices, communications, and online presences.
- Work with colleagues to ensure resonant storytelling practices and copy across marketing disciplines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- People Management: Provides functional employee (EE) oversight and mentorship to all pod members.
- Operational Oversight: Review and approve pod strategies for the pod’s accounts, ensuring Influencer and Paid Social Team’s work is aligned with high-level brand goals.
- Retention & Attrition Management: Directly accountable for pod culture, motivation, and retention. Implements strategies to maintain a high-performing, consistent team.
- Performance Accountability: Responsible for hitting Partner KPIs and ensuring partner satisfaction across all partners on the pod.
- Partners Stewardship: Oversees and attends partner meetings.
- Quality Control: Acts as the final Approver before reporting, plans and other large deliverables are shared with the client.
- New Business: Responsible for the team’s new business goals, including but not limited to lead generation, strong campaign proposals, partner pitches and conversion.
- Partner On-Boarding/Transitions: Oversees or leads all new partner on-boardings and account team transitions.
- Account Recovery: Excels at account recovery and stability. Establish a response "plan" with recovery efforts to strengthen partner relationships.
- Team Coverage: Maintains team-wide operational continuity during periods of absence or transition.
- Marketing Growth at Kinship: Serve as Partner Account Lead.
PEOPLE & CULTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Culture & Motivation: Actively lead "Win Celebrations" and organize pod-building events to maintain morale. Create a safe space for the pod to share challenges, recovery strategies, and key takeaways.
- Developmental Coaching: Manage MyPaths and Flowers + Motivators initiatives to foster professional and personal development for junior staff.
- Workflow Training: Educate the pod on new process rollouts and guide implementation from introduction to execution. Responsible for all adoption of processes and platforms.
- Culture Initiatives: Organize happy hours, events, and in-person meet-ups to strengthen pod connections.
- Training & Onboarding: Support new process training, educating the pod on workflow improvements and essential tools.
- Employee Evaluations: Review and conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews.
- Creative Assessment: Assess creative portfolios and content calendars to evaluate social content quality and strategic alignment.
STRATEGY, CONTENT, ENGAGEMENT & PARTNER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner Communication/Support: Steps in for descalation, oversight and senior relationship support.
- Strategy Evolution: Oversee development of yearly marketing plans to meet partner goals. Challenge, evolve, and scale strategy across accounts.
- Performance Optimization: Reviews Team metrics and trackers against goals and platform analytics to support strategic planning and performance reviews. Works with Brand Strategist to develop specific strategic action plans to course-correct underperforming accounts.
- AI for Productivity: Implement and oversee the adoption of AI-driven workflow tools to streamline administrative tasks, summarize reporting, and team capacity tracking.
- A/B Testing Frameworks: Support the Brand Strategist’s A/B testing strategies when accounts are underperforming.
- Creative Oversight: Responsible for all team partners’ storytelling quality, engagement, and process efficiency.
- Engagement Audits: Lead reactive engagement audits.
- Proactive Tactics: Responsible for proactive engagement strategies, quality benchmarks and engagement targets for the entire team’s accounts.
- Innovation: As a pod, identify and forecast emerging trends and drive adoption of new strategic channels and tools.
REPORTING
- Performance Tracking: Responsible for entire pods’ insights, performance tracking and YTD goals.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Report performance insights and team progress to the Director/COO.
- Data Synthesis: Present high-level, data-informed insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
