Banked-hours during pre-funding. All hours are tracked and paid once funding is secured (we are actively prospecting).

Final phase of pre-production. This role is critical to closing pre-prod and preparing for full production.

Small, remote, indie / AA studio where people wear multiple hats.

. Trust is the player’s most valuable resource. Companions are not passive followers, they are what expand your capabilities, unlock new approaches, and determine how far you can go. Progression is less about inventory accumulation and more about relationships, cooperation, and hard decisions made under pressure.

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Narrative Designer to lead the narrative design of

Project Adam

, owning the creation, structure, and delivery of the game’s narrative experience.

This is a hands-on creative leadership role. You will actively write, design, and shape narrative content while guiding the narrative team and ensuring consistency across the project.

You will work in close partnership with the Creative Director and Game Design leadership, building upon the defined vision, themes, and tone to craft a cohesive and immersive narrative experience that lives through gameplay systems and player choice.

What You’ll Focus On

  • Narrative Creation & Ownership:

Lead the development of narrative content across the game, including characters, dialogue, banter, and points of interest, ensuring depth, clarity, and consistency.

  • Story Structure & Delivery:

Shape story beats, sequences, and scripts, translating narrative intent into experiences that unfold naturally through gameplay.

  • Team Leadership & Quality:

Guide and review the work of narrative designers and writers, maintaining a strong, unified voice across all narrative elements.

  • Systemic & Non-Linear Narrative:

Design and oversee branching and reactive storytelling, ensuring player choices, consequences, and companion dynamics feel meaningful and coherent.

  • World Authenticity:

Ground the narrative in a believable Brazilian setting, with attention to cultural, environmental, and human detail.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong narrative author with the ability to lead by example, combining writing craft with structural thinking.
  • The ability to take an established vision and expand it into a cohesive, production-ready narrative experience.
  • Experience or comfort with non-linear storytelling, where narrative adapts to player decisions and systems.
  • A collaborative mindset, able to work closely with other disciplines while maintaining narrative clarity and intent.
  • Sensitivity to cultural context and grounded storytelling, especially within real-world inspired settings.
