International Business & Export Specialist – Cosmetics & Beauty ProductsRole Overview-Full-time-Indore, MP

We are looking for an experienced Global Business Lead to find and manage international importers and distributors of beauty products. Also manage, registrations, export documentation, and distributor onboarding for these sustainable skincare products. This role is critical in helping us expand into global markets by ensuring regulatory compliance, smooth export operations, and strong coordination with importers, distributors, and logistics partners.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience exporting cosmetics or beauty products, ability to find and pitch buyers through Linkedin, export databases, and personal connects; understands country-specific regulations and certifications, and can bring practical knowledge from working with importers to help scale a fast-growing beauty startup.

Key Responsibilities

Export Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare, manage, and review all export documentation including invoices, packing lists, COO, MSDS, product declarations, and shipping documents.
• Handle registrations, certifications, and regulatory requirements for cosmetics and beauty products across international markets (EU, UK, US, Middle East, Asia, etc.).
• Coordinate with regulatory consultants, testing labs, and certification bodies as required.
• Ensure products comply with destination-country cosmetic regulations, labeling norms, and import requirements.

International Market & Distributor Support

• Work closely with international importers, e-commerce players, and distributors for market entry.
• Act as the key point of contact for distributors on documentation, compliance, and shipment-related queries.
• Use prior importer-side or exporter experience to anticipate challenges and streamline approvals and launches.

Logistics & Shipping Coordination

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners for international shipments.
• Support negotiation and coordination for shipping modes, timelines, and costs.
• Ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain records of shipments, export timelines, and compliance documentation.

Process Building & Optimization

• Create and improve export SOPs, documentation templates, and compliance checklists.
• Help the company build a structured, scalable export process as international volumes grow.
• Stay updated on changing global cosmetic regulations and advise internal teams accordingly.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 years of experience in exports, preferably in cosmetics, hair care, beauty, FMCG, or personal care products.
• Strong working knowledge of export documentation, cosmetic registrations, and international compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience working with importers, retailers, distributors, or international buyers.
• Familiarity with global cosmetic regulations and certifications is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of international logistics, shipping, and customs processes.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple markets simultaneously.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a beauty or personal care brand with international presence.
• Exposure to multiple export markets and distributor-led sales models.
• Ability to work independently in a startup environment and take ownership of the export function.
• Experience setting up export systems and processes from scratch is a plus.
