Role overview

We are hiring a Technical Sales Account Manager to help grow the profitability of aftermarket and parts sales by promoting value added services and technical capabilities across Eastern Canada. This is a customer facing, commercially focused role that blends technical support, pricing awareness, and cross functional collaboration with inside sales and engineering teams.

What you will do

  • Maintain and increase profitability of parts and value added service sales.
  • Support preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and customer facing reports.
  • Partner closely with inside sales, regional sales, CAD, and operations to deliver responsive solutions.
  • Provide consistent progress reporting and clear internal updates.
  • Support evaluation of current and new costing for parts and service offerings.
  • Gather customer requirements, capture future demand signals, and contribute to forecasting.
  • Share competitive insights on programs and pricing, and support pricing strategy inputs.
  • Help implement and maintain processes, standards, and continuous improvement activity.
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during development or production phases.
  • Support trials of strategic materials and new product initiatives.
  • Assess shop capabilities and limitations to ensure solutions are practical and deliverable.

Required experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 10+ years of sales experience, including some supervisory or team leadership exposure.
  • Strong technical understanding and comfort translating requirements into workable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, highly organised, customer focused.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with drawings and templates, plus an interest in CAD and nesting software.
  • Strong analytical judgement, dependable, proactive, and able to work independently under deadlines.
  • Ability to develop practical business, sales, and marketing plans.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of industry sales experience, including supervisory experience.

Working conditions

  • Field based customer visits across Eastern Canada for approximately 60% of working time.
  • Must be able to maintain regular, punctual attendance and meet role deliverables under pressure.
