Lead Oracle PL / SQL Developer

As an experienced and detail-oriented Oracle PL/SQL Developer, your role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing PL/SQL code and database solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data management and guarantee the performance, scalability, and security of database systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining PL/SQL code for complex data-driven applications.
• Writing efficient, optimized, and reusable PL/SQL code, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Collaborating with database administrators and other developers to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of the database.
• Creating and maintaining database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and sequences.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing database queries and PL/SQL code to improve performance.
• Developing and maintaining SQL queries and complex reporting queries as per business requirements.
• Performing data migration, integration, and transformation tasks using PL/SQL.
• Assisting in the design and maintenance of ETL processes.
• Ensuring adherence to coding standards and project timelines.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues related to the database.
• Maintaining documentation for database designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Staying up to date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.

Qualifications required for this role include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4+ years) as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle database development.
• Experience in writing complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages in PL/SQL.
• Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), specifically Oracle.
• Experience with Oracle database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
• Solid understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with Oracle SQL*Plus, TOAD, or other Oracle development tools.
• Knowledge of data migration and integration techniques.
• Understanding of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
