Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud

Platform (GCP) IaaS and PaaS services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing,

deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure and platform services while ensuring security,

scalability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. GCP IaaS Management:

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP IaaS services such as Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud

Storage, Persistent Disks, and Load Balancing

• Configure and maintain networking components including VPCs, subnets, firewall

rules, VPNs, and routing

• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and cost

2. GCP PaaS Management:

• Deploy and manage applications using GCP PaaS services such as App Engine, Cloud

Run, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.

• Support container-based workloads and serverless architectures.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of platform services.

3. Security & IAM:

• Implement and manage IAM roles, policies, and service accounts following least

privilege principles.

• Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.

4. Deployment & Automation:

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or

Deployment Manager).

• Support CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build or other DevOps tools.

Monitoring & Operations:

• Monitor systems using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain documentation and operational runbooks.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid understanding of GCP IaaS and PaaS services.
• Experience with Compute Engine, VPC, App Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
• Knowledge of IAM, networking, and cloud security best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Good understanding of Linux systems and cloud operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
