Sr. Logistics Manager- Rake

The Opportunity

Kalyani Ventures Limited is seeking a senior logistics leader to head its railway rake operations across large-scale industrial and bulk logistics projects. This role goes beyond execution—it requires strategic oversight, cost optimization, and stakeholder influence to drive efficiency across complex, multi-location operations.

Your Mandate

You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of rake logistics, ensuring seamless coordination between railways, plant operations, commercial teams, and external stakeholders.

• Drive strategic planning and execution of rake movement across locations
• Build strong working relationships with Indian Railways, siding authorities, and regulatory bodies
• Optimize freight cost, turnaround time, detention & demurrage
• Lead multi-site logistics operations for inbound and outbound bulk materials
• Ensure compliance, documentation integrity, and operational governance
• Develop vendor ecosystems and transporter networks for scalable operations
• Drive data-led decision-making through MIS, analytics, and performance dashboards

What We Are Looking For

• 10–18 years of experience in railway freight / rake logistics / bulk operations
• Deep understanding of Indian Railways processes, documentation, and coordination frameworks
• Proven track record in handling bulk commodities (coal, iron ore, cement, steel, etc.)
• Strong exposure to industrial environments—mining, infrastructure, manufacturing, or logistics
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and influence outcomes

• Strong commercial acumen and cost optimization mindset
• Hands-on yet strategic—comfortable being both on-ground and in boardroom discussions
