Job Description
Base Locations: Prince George, Kamloops/Vernon, Cranbrook, & Vancouver.
K2 Electric is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians with experience in BC Hydro, utility, substation or high-voltage construction to support regional power infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia. We are looking for safety-focused, motivated individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and want to be part of a growing, well-established contractor delivering work in the power and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems in utility and high-voltage environments
- Support construction, upgrades, and maintenance projects related to power distribution and generation infrastructure
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction packages
- Maintain strict compliance with safety procedures, client requirements, and project standards
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, crews, and project teams to deliver quality results
Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification
- Experience in BC Hydro or utility-related work preferred
- High-voltage experience considered a strong asset
- Experience working in industrial, power, transmission/distribution, or substation environments is an asset
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent)
Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
- PSSP / WPP training
- CAT 5 certification/training
- First Aid certifications
- Experience working under BC Hydro standards and procedures

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
