As a Hi-Tech Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, site-readiness assessment, troubleshooting, and servicing of advanced dental technologies. This role ensures that dental practices receive a seamless, professional experience when adopting high-tech and imaging solutions. Extensive training and vendor certifications will be provided.
Job Overview:
Core Responsibilities:
- Install and configure a wide range of advanced dental technologies, including:
- 3D printers and chairside milling machines
- Digital impression scanners
- Dental furnaces
- 2D/3D X-ray generators and panoramic/CBCT imaging systems
- Additional high-tech or imaging equipment as needed
Supplementary Responsibilities:
- Install and service small dental equipment such as cavitrons, piezo units, and sterilizers, along with future product additions when needed
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs across the company’s full technology portfolio
- Site-Readiness & Pre-Installation
- Conduct site checks to verify electrical, network, and physical requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to schedule and execute final installations
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed service records and installation documentation
- Provide basic user training and operational guidance to dental staff after installation
- Stay current with emerging dental technologies and participate in all vendor certification programs
- Travel as required to complete installations and service calls
Qualifications
- Proven technical aptitude, with strong experience in IT systems, computer hardware/software, and digital technology (dental or medical technology experience is a strong asset)
- Computer literacy, including basic network configuration, software installation, and IT troubleshooting
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and customer-service skills for on-site client interactions
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively for installations and service calls
