Overview
Krauthamer & Associates, LLC (K&A), a nationally recognized executive search firm located in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a full-time research associate. Established in 1971, K&A provides a broad range of retained executive search services to a geographically diverse client base, both national and international, spanning several industries including transportation, real estate, healthcare, nonprofit & government, aerospace and defense, private equity, professional & financial services, technology, and consumer. To date, the firm has successfully completed over 5,000 engagements, working with Fortune 100 companies, quasi-public agencies, non-profits and early stage pre-IPO ventures. Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth industry research across sectors including aviation, transit, real estate, financial services, healthcare, government, etc. Typically supporting 5–10 concurrent search engagements at a time using online resources and databases.
- Identify target organizations and talent pools to support each recruitment process and provide the recruiting team with background research on industries and organizations throughout the hiring process.
- Work closely with the recruiting team to understand each client's hiring needs and develop research strategies to identify and build lists of qualified candidates.
- Manage and update the candidate database, maintaining accurate contact information and organized records.
- Help launch new searches by posting job advertisements, participating in initial client meetings to understand hiring goals, and assisting with the creation of job brochures and other marketing materials for clients.
- Assist with conducting reference calls for final candidates and drafting summaries of those conversations to share with clients.
Qualifications
This is an entry-level position best suited for recent college graduates. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong motivation, professionalism, and interpersonal skills, and is highly organized with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates who studied economics, business, communications, or a research-related field and have hands-on experience through internships or coursework.
