Description of Work SALARY RANGE: $88,467.00 - $151,101.00 The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) seeks an experienced, highly motivated individual to serve as an Endpoint Services Specialist, providing support for production information technology for judicial personnel across North Carolina. The Endpoint Services Specialist position provides software configuration support to all Endpoint devices (desktop computers, laptops, scanners, printers, & copiers, mobile devices), as well as other technology devices throughout the Judicial Branch, utilizing an enterprise-level approach to support. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide operational and customer support across all 100 North Carolina counties in accordance with Service Level Agreements set forth by the NCAOC's IT department. Assist with identifying workstation challenges, developing, and implementing innovative technical solutions. Administer Microsoft Intune and SCCM for application packaging, deployment, enterprise security patching, and compliance management to maintain a secure and efficient endpoint environment. Manages Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including configuration, policy enforcement, and monitoring to ensure a comprehensive endpoint security posture across the Branch. Oversee mobile device management through Microsoft Intune, including policy configuration, device enrollment, remote wipe capabilities, and ensuring endpoint compliance with organizational security standards. Develop and oversee the deployment of Public Facing kiosk technologies through Intune. Collaborate with stakeholders on technical and business decisions in the context of workstation management and software deployments. Investigate emerging technologies to deliver computing services to end-users, including workstation and application virtualization, application streaming, and cloud provisioning; and evaluate these solutions in the context of the organization's technology posture. Partner with the CISO office to ensure all endpoint compliance requirements are considered and addressed. Design, maintain, and manage device configuration policies to enforce security and configuration policies across all managed devices. Windows Automation and Management Scripting with languages such as PowerShell, Python, and VBScript. Provide training and documentation for judicial staff on an as-needed basis. Test and recommend hardware and software configurations to support evolving organizational needs. Participate in large technology deployment projects that may include statewide software updates and eCourts initiatives. Customer interaction and Judicial Conference Support Other technology duties as assigned. This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with the NCAOC's Remote Work policy but does require weekly onsite work. Work is generally performed in an office environment. Occasional lifting of heavy objects is required. Applicant should be able to lift 50 pounds. As part of the process of configuring endpoint devices, exposure to hazardous electrical computer components may occur, requiring extreme caution to be taken. Up to 20% overnight travel to locations across the state is required using state-provided vehicles. This position reports to the Endpoint Services Manager. Work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, but some evening, weekend, and holiday hours are required for projects and priority service desk calls. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Knowledge of: the design and implementation of Windows 11; Office 365; Intune; SCCM; BitLocker; Microsoft Defender for Endpoints; PowerShell; Cisco Collaborative Technologies; software packages such as Adobe Acrobat; and HP Web Jetadmin. Skills in: managing endpoints and peripherals (e.g., personal computers, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and copiers); diagnosing performance issues with complex conferencing systems using individual components; listening and communicating with customers to identify concerns, analyzing needs, and determining hardware/software solutions; rigorous problem-solving; collaborating and providing excellent customer service. Ability to: analyze needs, select strategies, and resolve technical problems; manage time to meet schedules; prioritize tasks according to customer needs; adhere to predefined enterprise change management processes; communicate highly technical information to non-technical users; work independently; troubleshoot basic and complex conferencing systems; troubleshoot software problems involving endpoints; manage critical incidents, identify problems, make necessary corrections, and collaborate with others professionally and with respect.
