Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Computer Hardware Technician to support and maintain the hospital’s IT infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware, networking devices, and peripherals across hospital departments to ensure smooth digital operations and uninterrupted patient care services.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical troubleshooting skills, a good understanding of computer systems and networking, and the ability to provide quick technical support to hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues such as motherboard, RAM, storage devices, power supply, and network cards.
  • Install and configure operating systems, drivers, antivirus, and required software applications.
  • Provide technical support to hospital staff and resolve computer-related issues promptly.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and monitor LAN/Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and network cabling.
  • Assist in managing Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and other hospital software applications.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance and system updates.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and service records.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT team members for system upgrades, repairs, and procurement.
  • Ensure data security, backup procedures, and compliance with hospital IT policies.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Computer Hardware, Networking, IT, or Computer Science.
  • 1–3 years experience in hardware and networking support (hospital experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of Windows OS installation, system troubleshooting, and networking basics.
  • Experience with printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi configuration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
  • Knowledge of data backup, cybersecurity basics, and IT asset management.
  • Ability to provide onsite technical support in a hospital environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
