As an Medical Office Assistant for JHCP you'll:
- Provide excellent customer service to our patients at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
- Recieve and make calls to schedule appointments.
- For Surgery practices, you will schedule surgical cases by communicating with surgeons, hospitals, and patients.
- Check patients in and out, collect copays, verify insurance and collect demographics.
- Process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
- EPIC experience is very helpful!
- Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.
Salary Range: Minimum 17.95/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
