Compensation: $28 per hour
About The Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift NOC Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, and systems within a data center or centralized network environment. You will work within established guidelines and procedures, using independent judgment to analyze and resolve variable factors and basic problems. The NOC Technician maintains access control, data integrity, and file system security, and is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and recording system performance and utilization metrics. You will communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel, recommend process and technology improvements, and may participate in IT infrastructure projects. This position also supervises and provides day-to-day oversight to a team of support and technical associates, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to established policies. You will work closely with management and specialists to select appropriate methods and analytical approaches, and play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and security of the organization's IT infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, and systems in a data center or centralized network environment
- Monitor, track, and record system performance and utilization metrics using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ThousandEyes, and ServiceNow
- Maintain access control, data integrity, and file system security for computer/data center infrastructure
- Communicate highly technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel
- Recommend process, hardware, and software solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency, including new acquisitions and upgrades
- Participate in the development and execution of IT and infrastructure projects
- Supervise and provide day-to-day oversight to support and technical associates, ensuring consistency and adherence to established policies
- Coordinate team activities and hold team members accountable for following procedures and guidelines
- Perform escalated or complex troubleshooting and problem resolution tasks
- Collaborate with management and specialists to select appropriate methods, techniques, and analytical approaches
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of network operations experience
- Broad IT experience, preferably in a large corporate environment
- Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, ThousandEyes, and ServiceNow
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, and systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use independent judgment to resolve issues
- Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
- Experience maintaining access control, data integrity, and file system security
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in a technical environment, with the ability to coordinate and oversee daily operations
- Passion for improving consumer experiences and contributing to organizational goals
- Preferred: Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWNP, or CWNE
