Cyber Security Analyst Power & Utilities (1 2 Years Experience)

About The Role

AaraTech Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst Power & Utilities to support security operations for utility applications, grid systems, and data platforms. This role focuses on monitoring threats, protecting critical infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. You will work closely with IT, network, and operations teams. Ideal for early-career cybersecurity professionals in the utilities domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events across utility systems
• Analyze logs from applications, networks, and infrastructure
• Support incident detection and response activities
• Perform basic vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• Ensure security of billing systems and operational data
• Assist in implementing security controls and policies
• Maintain security documentation and reports
• Collaborate with IT and project teams Required Qualifications
• 1 2 years of experience in Cyber Security or IT Security
• Knowledge of network security fundamentals
• Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, firewalls, antivirus)
• Understanding of common vulnerabilities and threats
• Basic knowledge of critical infrastructure security (ICS/SCADA is a plus)
• Linux/Windows security fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
