Role Overview
Visa B2B Connect is a next-generation cross-border B2B payments network designed to deliver fast, predictable, and secure business payments using a distributed ledger-inspired architecture.We are seeking a Back-End Engineer with deep experience in Oracle Flexcube, OBPM workflows, and enterprise payment integrations to enhance and support the Visa B2B Connect ecosystem.
This role focuses on building backend services and workflows that enable high-value cross‑border settlements, FX handling, compliance flows, onboarding operations, and integration between Flexcube and Visa B2B Connect rails.
Key Responsibilities
- Flexcube Development for B2B Connect Flows
- Build and enhance Flexcube components that support B2B Connect operations:
- High-value B2B payment initiation/receiving
- Cross-border settlement posting, GL accounting, and multi-currency support
- Nostro/Vostro reconciliation for B2B Connect settlements
- FX application logic and charges computation
- Develop/maintain Flexcube customizations including:
- STCs, PL/SQL packages, FCUBS APIs
- Custom screens, UDFs, EDM/ELCM enhancements
- Troubleshoot and tune Flexcube performance for large-value, low-volume corporate payments.
- OBPM / Workflow Engineering
- Design OBPM/Oracle SOA workflows to manage:
- B2B Connect payment orchestration
- Sanctions, AML, and KYC workflow integration
- FX exception handling and manual review processes
- Payment repair and compliance hold queues
- Build workflow components (BPEL, XSD, WSDL, human tasks, composites) aligned to B2B Connect’s multi-stage processing logic.
- Backend Engineering for B2B Connect Integrations
- Develop Java/Spring Boot backend services that integrate with:
- Visa B2B Connect APIs (origination, quoting, settlement, tracking)
- Distributed ledger‑based network components
- Bank treasury/FX pricing engines
- SWIFT/ISO20022 processors
- Build robust microservices supporting:
- Real-time payment validation & routing
- Status inquiry, tracking, and reconciliation
- Batch settlement uploads and confirmations
- Ensure compliance with Visa’s availability, resiliency, and throughput standards.
- Integration Architecture & Compliance
- Integrate Flexcube/OBPM with:
- B2B Connect’s cross-border rails (REST APIs, secure messaging)
- Compliance systems (AML, sanctions, fraud monitoring)
- Corporate onboarding and customer due diligence platforms
- Reporting engines for regulatory & operational reporting
- Implement and audit:
- Data privacy and PCI/ISO27001 controls
- MAS TRM and local regulatory standards
- Visa global compliance frameworks
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with global Visa B2B Connect teams:
- Product / Network Engineering
- Compliance & Risk
- Treasury / FX specialists
- Operations & Client Services
- Support UAT, production rollout, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
- Translate B2B Connect business requirements into scalable backend solutions.
Required Technical Skills
Flexcube / OBPM
- 3–8+ years Flexcube development (FCUBS, PLSQL, APIs, customizations)
- Strong OBPM / SOA / BPEL experience
- Experience integrating Flexcube with external payment networks
Backend (Core)
- Strong Java / Spring Boot development experience
- REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, schemas & transformation
- MQ/Kafka or equivalent messaging middleware
- Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems
Payments Domain Knowledge
- Corporate cross-border payments (B2B)
- ISO20022 (pacs.008, pacs.009, camt messages)
- AML, sanctions, KYC screening flows
- FX, treasury, multi-currency accounting
- High-value payment processing & settlement life cycle
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with:
- Docker/Kubernetes
- CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Cloud platforms (AWS / OCI)
- Distributed ledger / tokenized payment systems
- Knowledge of Visa B2B Connect architecture or Visa Direct is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Oracle Flexcube, Java, SOA, or ISO20022 certifications are beneficial.
