Overview Jhpiego is a nonprofit global health leader and Johns Hopkins University affiliate that is saving lives improving health and transforming futures We partner with governments health experts and local communities to build the skills and systems that guarantee a healthier future for women and families Jhpiego translates the best science and practice into moments of care that can mean the difference between life and death for women and families The moment a woman gives birth the moment a midwife helps a newborn to breathe Through our partnerships we are revolutionizing health care for the world s most disadvantaged and vulnerable people In India Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning maternal and child health strengthening human resources for health and non-communicable diseases These programs are funded by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited UNICEF World Health Organization University of Manitoba Bill Melinda Gates Foundation Children s Investment Fund Foundation CIFF MSD for Mothers and others Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Finance and Grant Officer based at Delhi The appointed candidate will report to the Finance Grants Manager Responsibilities Ensure that awards are following donor and established Jhpiego administrative and financial management policies procedures and sound business practices Generate various financial reports from QuickBooks accounting software and Board upload them in MS Excel grant tracking sheets on a monthly quarterly basis for tracking review and reporting purposes Track and analyze monthly LOE of all in-country staff Prepare variance analysis of budgeted LOE and actual charged to specific project Work on JHPIEGO grant software- BOARD Train and orient state sub-grantees finance staff on Jhpiego reporting requirements format systems procedures and relevant donor rules and regulations as applicable Assist in creating budgets and preparing and submitting monthly quarterly financial reports projections Assist in conducting financial analysis and F A reviews of the state offices Ensure timely booking of expenses at in-country at the time of grant close out Ensure and perform required actions towards award start-up and close out related necessities Maintains proper documentation of all grant documents and donor guidelines Assist in external internal audits and financial reviews by the donors Assure effective performance of a broad range of support functions having project-wide implications Assist to Current Proposal Development NPD team with new proposal budgets Prepare analytical reports for management project leads which would help them in planning activities in advance for ensuring proper spending per approved budget Develop tools systems for improving tracking of expenses as per budget Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in commerce is essential and MBA in finance is preferred Additional qualifications will be an added advantage At least 3 years of relevant experience especially working on various excel based reports QuickBooks Enterprise experience would be preferred Working knowledge of other Accounting Software like Tally would be an added advantage Good understanding and knowledge of various accounting code ledgers and its usage in QBE Tally Experience working in INGOs would be preferred Women candidates are encouraged to apply
