Summer Camp Photographer and Social Media Manager
Camp Shalom is an overnight summer camp located in Gravenhurst, Ontario on Lake Muskoka. As an organization, our goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment for each individual. Through engaging programming, we provide opportunities for staff and campers to have fun, build confidence, and create lifelong memories.
The Camp Photographer and Social Media Manager role is an out-of-cabin position, meaning that you will be living in a staff cabin throughout the summer.
Responsibilities
- Capturing photos and videos of daily camp activities
- Social media content creation, including photos, videos, stories, and posts
- Editing and uploading of media to camp online platforms
This position begins with general staff pre-camp training on June 19, 2026, and employment ends on August 14, 2026.
Qualifications
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Experience in communications, social media content creation, and/or storytelling
- Proficient editing and digital production skills
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and time-management skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced and outdoor summer environment
- Respectful of campers and staff and adhering to privacy guidelines
- Knowledge of media and technology equipment is beneficial
- Previous camp experience is an asset
- Photography and videography skill development
- Ability to be creative in a summer camp environment
- Meaningful and rewarding work that makes a positive impact on staff, campers, and families
- Ability to connect with a large staff team of 100+ people
- Spend the summer in Muskoka
- Have access to camp facilities
- Room and board provided
