We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join our Finance team in Langley, BC. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, sound problem‑solving skills, and demonstrated experience in accounts payable within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a temporary, fixed‑term position for approximately six (6) months, with employment ending automatically on November 6, 2026, subject to operational needs.
Over the coming year, JD Sweid Foods is embarking on an exciting transformation, including the implementation of a new ERP system. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to that transition while supporting the integrity and accuracy of our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform full‑cycle accounts payable processing in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Enter, review, and process vendor invoices using the Company’s ERP system.
- Verify invoice accuracy, including vendor details, quantities, pricing, and purchase terms.
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices in accordance with agreed terms.
- Investigate, resolve, and report accounts payable discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and proper documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional work environment in line with our company commitments.
- Collaborate well with colleagues, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication.
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP principles, and other regulatory requirements. Actively participate in all assigned safety and compliance training.
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Business is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Sound interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working Environment:
- Temporary, 6-month contract (till November 6, 2026)
- Full-time, in-office position
- Days, Monday to Friday (standard business hours)
