About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to lead this transition for our culinary operations. This role is unique and is not a standard line-cook or basic kitchen manager role. We are looking for a passionate, creative, and results-driven Chef who will partner directly with the General Manager to elevate our entire food program and drive measurable growth in both dine-in and takeout sales.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen operations with full accountability for food quality, consistency, presentation, and cleanliness.
- Work hand-in-hand with the GM to create and refresh menus, signature dishes, daily specials, and takeout-friendly items that increase revenue.
- Develop professional advertising materials (dish photography, descriptions, social-media content) to promote new offerings.
- Act as Lead Cook on every key shift – you will be in the kitchen cooking, not just managing.
- Maintain the highest standards of SASK Health food safety compliance and keep all inspection-ready documentation current.
- Recruit, train, and coach kitchen staff to your own level of excellence.
- Manage inventory, ordering, food costs, and prep levels for smooth daily service and special events.
- Oversee final plating and ensure every plate leaving the kitchen meets your standards.
- Support front-of-house when needed (hosting, serving, training) to deliver a complete guest experience.
- Be available for special events and on-call rush support as the lead kitchen professional.
- Be flexible during the growth phase with other roles and responsibilities.

- Self driven & motivated with strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills & team management abilities to lead, collaborate, motivate & train staff effectively.
- Proficient with Computer & Software Operations; Spreadsheets / Docs & POS Systems
- Confident & Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be fluent in English

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience with at least 2 years in a lead or chef role
- Must be available 7 days a week, as required.
- Strong menu development and recipe creation skills
- Proven ability to control food costs while maintaining high quality
- Current Food Safe / SASK Health certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Passion for great food, great service, and growing a business through the kitchen
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and special events
Note: We are also open to applications from motivated recent culinary school graduates or students nearing completion of their program who show strong creative potential and a commitment to hands-on kitchen leadership.
