Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement & Vendor Development Manager to lead sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement strategies for pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate should have strong connections with manufacturers across segments such as injectables, parenteral drugs, hospital consumables, and OTC products.

This role requires deep commercial understanding, strong negotiation skills, and working knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging norms and their impact on pricing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and supply agreements to ensure competitive procurement
• Source products across categories including injectables, parenteral drugs, surgical consumables, and OTC products
• Manage end-to-end procurement cycle from vendor identification to order execution
• Ensure availability of products as per business demand and minimize stock-outs
• Evaluate and onboard new vendors to expand the supplier base
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activities
• Possess strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging norms, including:

Pack sizes (blister, strips, vials, ampoules, bulk packs)

• Hospital vs retail packaging
• Impact of packaging on pricing, margins, and distribution
• Break-bulk and inventory handling
• Optimize procurement cost while maintaining quality and compliance standards
• Coordinate closely with sales and operations teams for demand planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical procurement and labeling

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Science / Commerce (MBA preferred)
• 10–15 years of experience in pharma procurement, distribution, or trading
• Strong network with pharmaceutical manufacturers across key segments
• Proven experience in price negotiation and vendor management
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain and market dynamics
• Hands-on knowledge of packaging norms and commercial impact
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in pharma distribution or stockist business
• Knowledge of MRP, PTR, PTS pricing structures
• Ability to handle multiple product categories and vendor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
