Financial Analyst and Dynamics 365 Business Central Specialist

Position Overview:

Required Qualifications: CFA/CPA/ACCA

We are looking for a talented Financial Analyst to undertake crucial tasks, including the configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance/Business Central. Your duties will also include managing financial processes, providing clarity on project directions, and effectively mitigating risks and resolving issues.

Your responsibilities will extend to leading training sessions focusing on our delivery processes, operational tools, and status reporting.

Core Accounting Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

• Review and allocate expenses from monthly credit card statements to the correct accounts.
• Record all accruals, amortization, and depreciation entries.
• Assist with the annual audit process.
• Perform ad hoc projects, including account and spending analyses.
• Establish new Projects in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central with appropriate tasks and Bills of Materials.
• Enter and verify project information in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central to ensure alignment with contract details.
• Manage project invoicing per contract terms, coordinating with project managers as required.
• Monitor time and expense entries for accuracy throughout project phases.
• Assess project status for billing and collection opportunities and risks.
• Maintain effective communication with Project Managers (PMs) and Principals-in-Charge (PIC) regarding contracts, change orders, and approvals.
• Oversee consultant invoices and prepare monthly accruals for consultants.
• Collaborate with leadership to update monthly cash flow reports.
• Create and uphold policies for project documentation and approvals.
• Report comprehensively on monthly billing and contract status.
• Generate necessary project reports in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central for PMs and stakeholders.
• Conduct special project analyses and provide financial support as needed.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements within the finance department.
• Collaborate effectively with the finance team.

Accounts Receivable:

• Ensure proper documentation and storage of all customer billings.
• Oversee the collections of overdue accounts.
• Accurately apply incoming customer payments.
• Prepare weekly/monthly AR reports for the VP of Finance, including customer statuses.
• Assist with the finance database for commission calculations and gross margin analysis.
• Conduct ad hoc projects and analyses as requested.

Month-End Closing:

• Support the month-end closing process.
• Record month-end entries in accordance with accounting policies.
• Complete account and bank reconciliations.
