As a IT Support Specialist Systems and Network at IT Link, you will experience a wide range of industries, functions and customers; you will change roles without quitting your employer As examples, solutions designed by IT Link in Canada have led to improved clinical training and patient safety at a global healthcare player; improved the performance and software quality of an energy storage system; and provided a Quebec transportation company with a predictive advance-delay solution for buses. Context:

  • You will act as liaison with field service (between IT Link client and the client’s clients) to identify and resolve system hardware and software problems, and escalate or make recommendations to IT or project management, as appropriate
  • Provide support to ensure stable, reliable desktop and IT infrastructure systems to external user communities (client and client’ clients)
  • *Responsibilities**:
  • Manage diverse technology ecosystems, including Linux and Windows servers, EMC storage arrays, LAN, MPLS networks, and telephone systems
  • Lead asset and license management efforts, optimizing resource allocation and compliance
  • Provide backup support within our Ottawa client’s offices in Ottawa, technology, and projects, showcasing adaptability
  • Uphold IT policies and procedures, contributing to a culture of compliance and security
  • *PROFIL**:
  • Technology Degree and 3+ years of related support experience in a multi-platform, multi-vendor environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and LAN administration
  • Using your superb customer service and communications skills, you will interact with customers, service providers and vendors.
