We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our clients’ equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to service delivery. Responsibilities
- Install, commission, provide training and troubleshoot complex instruments and systems at client sites.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance according to OEM standards .
- Diagnose technical issues using diagnostic tools and provide effective solutions .
- Document service activities, including detailed reports of repairs, inspections, and recommendations and submitting repairs quotes as well .
- Collaborate with the engineering team to escalate unresolved issues and improve product performance.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and standards during all service activities.
- Be knowledgeable on multiple IsoSpark products. (Internal and factory training will be provided).
- Efforts are required to maintain existing business and seek new service opportunities (contracts – on call requests).
- Perform calibrations and repairs correctly, on budget, and in a timely fashion at customer site and workshop as well.
- Work is generally based in Quebec territory (80%) . Some travel to serve customers and training will be required for Newfoundland & Nova Scotia locations (20%) .
Skills
- Must possess a post-secondary education in electrical or electronics technician/technologist
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work through service manuals and schematics for electronics and mechatronics low voltage systems .
- Possess avid knowledge of using electrical measuring tools and exhibit advanced disassembly/assembly and soldering skills.
- One to Two years of industry-related disciplines (preferred but not essential), fresh graduates are welcomed.
- Analytical Instruments knowledge (ICP,ICP-MS,XRF,ArcSpark Instruments, Combustion Analyzers,....etc) is preferred .
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English & French.
- Proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company.
- Must be organized with good attitude ,soft communications skills is an assets .
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
- Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)
- Location: Montreal , QC (preferred).
Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Service Manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
