The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate journalist to join our APAC editorial team as a Cybersecurity Correspondent, based in India. In this role, you will cover the most important cybersecurity developments across the region, reporting on breaking news, emerging threats, and major industry developments as they happen.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the regional cybersecurity landscape, a strong professional network of industry thought leaders, and the editorial expertise needed to produce high-impact multimedia content.
What You'll Do
- Cover cybersecurity developments across key APAC markets including Singapore, India, Australia and ASEAN
- Track and report on regional regulatory frameworks and policy developments
- Analyze emerging threat landscapes and digital transformation initiatives impacting enterprises across APAC
- Identify region-specific trends that can inform global cybersecurity conversations
- Produce high-quality content across multiple formats including articles, executive interviews, podcasts, webinars, video segments and event coverage
- Conduct interviews with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, regulators, policymakers and technology leaders across APAC
- Ensure content is timely, accurate, relevant and aligned with ISMG’s global standards
- Provide editorial support across sectors covered by ISMG when required
- Represent ISMG in industry forums and executive discussions as needed
- Work closely with the global editorial team to align APAC coverage with ISMG’s broader strategy
What You Bring to the Table
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years’ of professional journalism experience covering cybersecurity, information security or enterprise technology
- Strong news judgment and ability to prioritize multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Ability to write clearly, accurately, and quickly for a sophisticated technical audience
- Familiarity with/basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (CVE, ransomware, threat actors, etc.)
- Ability to take direction and operate in a high-output newsroom environment
- AI-savvy mindset, open to and proactive about using AI tools to streamline research, reporting, and editing—while maintaining strong editorial standards and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and English fluency is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an international media organization and/or multimedia journalism
- Demonstrated experience interviewing senior executives and industry leaders
- Established network of cybersecurity professionals in APAC
- Comfort with on-camera appearances and moderating executive discussions
