Job Description
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for direct sales of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, and heavy fabricated equipment. Your primary focus will be on generating and converting enquiries from EPC contractors, consultants, and end-user clients. Achieving annual sales targets, maintaining a strong order pipeline, leading negotiations, and closing high-value industrial contracts will be key aspects of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct sales of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, and heavy fabricated equipment
- Generating and converting enquiries from EPC contractors, consultants, and end-user clients
- Achieving annual sales targets and maintaining a strong order pipeline
- Leading negotiations and closing high-value industrial contracts
Techno-Commercial & Engineering Interface:
You will need to read and interpret datasheets, P&IDs, RFQs, specifications, and contracts. Additionally, preparing and owning complete techno-commercial proposals, performing detailed costing, pricing, and margin analysis, and coordinating with various departments like engineering, QA/QC, planning, production, and procurement will be part of your responsibilities.
Codes & Standards:
Having a working knowledge of ASME, TEMA, and API standards will be essential. You will also be required to participate in pre-bid meetings and contract negotiations.
Client & Market Management:
Maintaining relationships with EPCs, consultants, licensors, and end users, handling international clients and overseas markets, and participating in exhibitions, seminars, and client meetings will be crucial for this role.
Key Performance Indicators:
Your performance will be measured based on various key indicators including annual sales target achievement, order book value and profitability, largest single order closed, enquiry to order conversion ratio, and growth of EPC and end-user accounts.
Qualification Required:
- Direct heavy equipment sales experience
- Ownership of techno-commercial proposals
- Ability to read datasheets and P&IDs
- Knowledge of ASME / TEMA / API standards
- Strong costing and pricing understanding
- Proven negotiation and closure track record
- Relationships with EPC consultants and industrial buyers
- International client exposure
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, or Production Engineering. An MBA/PGDM in Marketing or International Business is preferred for this role. Role Overview:
