Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join its Digital Insights team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Fabric Data Factory, DevOps, and SQL technologies. The position requires strong expertise in data modeling, data ingestion pipelines, and advanced SQL development within an enterprise environment.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting requirements
Develop and optimize data ingestion pipelines within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring secure and efficient data flow
Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures for performance and reliability
Develop cloud-based systems and integrations using Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, SQL, and DevOps
Conduct system testing to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to configure and implement new features and applications
Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and provide accurate development estimates
Stay current on platform updates and recommend optimizations and improvements
Support business users and power users with best practices to enhance effective use of the data platform
Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation
Qualifications and pre-requisites:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, including data modeling and SQL development (T-SQL and PL/SQL)
Strong hands-on experience as a SQL Developer, including creation and management of stored procedures
Experience building and optimizing data ingestion pipelines
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Power BI, Purview, and DevOps
Strong understanding of modern data architecture and integration patterns
Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and development best practices
Practical knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
University or College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Strong planning, prioritization, and time-management skills
5+ years professional experience
