Role Overview:

As a Specialist Loan Syndication at Invesco, you will work with a dedicated team within the Bank Loan Operations function, overseeing daily activities related to syndicated loans and structured finance products. Your main responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan lifecycle events while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clients is essential to drive operational excellence and meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for syndicated loan processes, guiding and monitoring your team to ensure all SLAs are met.
  • Handle complex process-related queries, escalate exceptions for timely resolution, and maintain a robust workflow allocation model.
  • Oversee Deal Closings, Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Cash and Invoice Reconciliation, and Trade Settlements.
  • Implement knowledge management practices, including SOP maintenance and training, while ensuring 100% compliance with policies and controls.
  • Motivate and support your team members and manage stakeholder relationships for success.

Qualifications Required:

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in finance domains such as corporate loans, structured finance, or alternative investments, with a focus on leveraged financing.
  • Broad understanding of structured finance products, corporate credit landscape, and alternative investments.
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated loans lifecycle events including Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Funding, Rate Fixings, and Trade Settlements.
  • Good understanding of IBOR/ABOR and Custody Reconciliation processes.
  • Prior experience working in investment banking, investment management, or financial advisory firms is preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred. Any additional certifications or training related to loan syndication or financial operations will be a plus.
