Front-End Developer – TS/SCI w/ Poly

Location: Columbia, MD

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Front-End Developer to play a lead role in front-end software development, including building modern user interfaces and integrating UI functionality with backend APIs and databases. In this role, you will also support the development of training exercise scenarios and lead efforts to leverage and/or develop scenario grading solutions in support of a critical training mission.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive, reliable user experiences while ensuring smooth integration with backend services and underlying data sources.

Responsibilities

Design and implement network architecture and topologies

Develop and integrate network applications and services using relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++)

Automate network tasks using scripting and automation tools

Develop and maintain network automation workflows

Document network designs, configurations, and procedures

Collaborate with other teams (e.g., IT, software development) to ensure seamless operations and delivery

Skills Requirements

Experience with modern development frameworks

Background in user interface design, development, and integration with backend APIs

Strong experience with network design

Experience in full-stack development

Experience with requirements gathering and system architecture planning

Nice to Haves

Experience with both Windows and Unix security concepts

Strong understanding of vSphere and virtual machines

Experience operating in complex technical environments

Development experience with Svelte, TypeScript, Java, MongoDB, and Python

Education & Experience Requirement

12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree

OR

4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

Compensation & Employment Policy

Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 (annualized USD).
