Job Title: Assembly Technician Location

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our factory operations team. This role is responsible for assembling sensor products, performing quality inspections including First Article Inspection (FAI) on incoming materials from vendors and internal machine shop components, laser engraving serial numbers on finished products, and maintaining accurate daily activity reports.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical skills, a quality-focused mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Assembly Operations

• Assemble sensor products and subcomponents according to work instructions, drawings, and production schedules.
• Use hand tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure products are assembled to specification and meet required quality standards.
• Identify and report assembly issues, defects, or process deviations.

Quality Inspection / FAI

• Perform incoming inspection of parts and materials received from external vendors.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspection of components received from the internal machine shop.
• Carry out First Article Inspection (FAI) for new or revised components.
• Record inspection results and report non-conformances to supervisors or quality teams.
• Support corrective and preventive actions when quality issues arise.

Laser Engraving

• Operate laser engraving equipment to mark serial numbers, batch codes, or identification details on products.
• Verify engraving accuracy, readability, and traceability requirements.
• Maintain proper records of serialized products.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit daily production and activity reports.
• Update job status, inspection records, and traceability documents accurately.
• Maintain organized production and quality records.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all factory safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operating guidelines.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations using 5S practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Mechanical, Electronics, Production, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Experience with quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience operating laser marking/engraving equipment is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and record updates.
• Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.
