Position Summary
We are hiring for Casual Occupational Therapists in Penticton. We have immediate casual openings across our clinical teams including opportunities in: acute care, rehabilitation, inpatient psychiatry, community and home health, long-term care and mental health and substance use. About the role
The Occupational Therapist works independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, and may be providing a full range of occupational therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes.
- Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers.
- Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living.
- Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
- Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.

Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
Full practicing licensee as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Valid BC Driver’s license.
