Duties and Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manage a global team of engineers following organization defined management processes.</li> <li>Leading engineering programs for efficient, high quality new product release and patch releases following defined processes.</li> <li>Seek to understand the customer and the purpose the product is serving to achieve customer best results.</li> <li>Working as a hands-on contributor at the Sr. Software Engineer level as/when required; handle escalations as needed.</li> <li>Works cross functionally with QA and DevOps teams to deliver product to market in an automated fashion.</li> <li>Scope of responsibility is typically across one feature set or small product.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with business and technology teams to ensure organizational effectiveness and take advantage of existing solutions and synergies where possible.</li> <li>Assist in establishing individual and departmental level goals.  Track and deliver metrics to ensure objectives are met.</li> <li>Assist in delivery of Technology Roadmap while meeting defined budget.</li> <li>Attract, recruit, retain and develop top talent, and responsible for performance evaluations.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Foster a growth mindset in all employees: <ul> <li>Support employees in setting and attaining professional and development goals;</li> <li>Coach and mentor employees on career and personal development, Agile delivery, and development practices creating a high performing team; and</li> <li>Support continuous learning.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement.</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.</li> <li>On Call Policy: Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues, including outside standard business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays), ensuring timely response and resolution as per defined SLAs.</li> </ul>   Job Requirements: <ul> <li>8+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer.</li> <li>0-2 years of experience as a manager preferred.</li> <li>Adepts in at least 1 programing language, deep technical expertise in one vertical technical area, domain expertise at the module level, and expertise in one operating system.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills.</li> <li>Excellent time management skills.</li> <li>Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines.</li> </ul> Education: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Sciences, engineering or science.</li> </ul> Physical Demands and Work Environment: <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time).</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force.</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions.</li> <li>Travel for this position is expected to be less than 10%.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g. H-1B, TN, or E-3).
