Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Software Tester (Manual) to support our engineering and delivery teams by validating product quality across web and API-based applications. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to build a strong foundation in software testing and QA practices.

Key Responsibilities

Understand requirements, user stories, and functional specifications

Create and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and checklists

Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing

Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Jira or similar

Work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce and validate issues

Participate in test planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups

Ensure quality standards before releases to QA / UAT / Production

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC

Knowledge of manual testing concepts and defect lifecycle

Ability to write clear test cases and bug reports

Familiarity with web applications and basic API concepts

Strong attention to detail and logical thinking

Good communication and documentation skills

Good to Have (Not Mandatory)

Exposure to tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman, or similar

Basic SQL knowledge for data validation

Awareness of Agile / Scrum methodology

Interest in automation testing or AI-driven QA (long-term growth)
