Job Title: Payroll Officer

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer with 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and accounting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing payroll operations, full and final settlements, audit requirements, and handling employee queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Handle full and final settlements for resigned employees
- Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies
- Prepare and analyze Headcount (HC) reports and variance reports
- Ensure proper payroll accounting entries, reconciliations, and GL mapping
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll-related queries
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll inputs and validations
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
- Generate payroll reports for management review
Audit & Compliance Responsibilities:
- Support SOX, Internal and external payroll audits by providing required data and reports
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all payroll transactions
- Ensure payroll processes comply with audit standards and internal controls
- Reconcile payroll data with financial records to ensure accuracy
- Identify and address discrepancies highlighted during audits
- Assist in implementation of audit recommendations and process improvements
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and payroll accounting
- Experience in full & final settlement procedures
- Understanding of audit requirements and internal controls
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
