Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift
Starting Wage: Day Shift - $24.34 /hour
Location: Surrey, BC

What will you be responsible for:
- Inspect frame, bus assembly, breaker/cradle/CDP, door, wire termination, routing, bundles, wire harnesses, wire numbers, torque values, top hat, and completed unit per QC work instructions.
- Enter defects detected during inspection into the rework log accurately and provide effective feedback on quality issues to production.
- Install Lexan and insulation covers, attach labels and mimic bus, and install parts necessary for closing up the unit.
- Take pictures of the tested unit; generate and review QC documents, including BQRs and tracking logs.
- Perform current injection tests for breakers (MCCB) and functional tests for CTs.
- Adhere to established safety guidelines.
- Meet production schedules while inspecting according to IEM's strictest quality standards.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Lead or Supervisor.
What you need to be part of our team:
- High School Diploma
- To be physically fit and mechanically inclined; prior use of hand tools (i.e. impact drill/driver)
- 1 year of experience working as a quality inspector, as a wiring technician or on a manufacturing or production line
- Ability to read drawings is an asset
- Experience with drilling, tapping, and mounting components in electrical controls/panels is an asset
- Computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
- Good verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, excellent attendance, and professionalism
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Physical Demands:
- Activities: Sitting – 5% Walking/Standing – 95%
- Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl and climb.
- Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.
Mental Demands:
- Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Environment:
- Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
