Technical Head – Aerospace -Aircraft -Design and Development Nose to Tail

Location-Bangalore

Required Technical Skill Set: Experience in Design & Development of Aircraft - Nose to Tail covering Structures, Interiors & Aerosystems. Sound knowledge of product development across design lifecycle is a must.

Expertise needed:

• Deep experience in end-to-end aircraft mechanical design and development across fuselage, wing, empennage, landing gear interfaces, cabins/interiors, and aerosystems installation.
• Strong expertise in primary and secondary structures design, metallic and composite structures, stress-informed design, and structural integration.
• Hands-on capability in aircraft interiors design including monuments, bins, panels, seats integration, safety, packaging, ergonomics, and certification constraints.
• Solid understanding of aerosystems packaging and installation covering ECS, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear systems, and associated mechanical interfaces.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing release using aerospace design tools such as CATIA / NX, with strong command of GD&T and tolerance stack-up.
• Sound experience in engineering analysis, FEA-led design validation, weight optimization, design-for-manufacture, design-for-assembly, and producibility.
• Strong understanding of airworthiness, certification, and compliance requirements with exposure to FAA/EASA regulations, qualification, verification, and validation processes.
• Experience in configuration management, change control, product lifecycle management, and engineering release processes across the aircraft development lifecycle.
• Ability to lead design reviews, root-cause resolution, cross-functional technical decisions, and customer-facing engineering discussions for complex development programs.
• Strong mentoring, solutioning, and program leadership capability to guide large engineering teams across concept, detailed design, testing, certification, and in-service support.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / aerospace engineering
• Master’s degree in aerospace is preferable

Job Descriptions

• The Technical Head - Aerospace will lead end-to-end mechanical design and development for aircraft programs across nose-to-tail structures, interiors, and aerosystems. The role is responsible for providing technical leadership across concept, detailed design, integration, validation, certification support, and in-service engineering, while ensuring high-quality, compliant, and manufacturable solutions.
• The individual will mentor and guide large multidisciplinary engineering teams, drive design reviews and resolution of complex technical issues, and work closely with customers, delivery teams, sales, and presales teams to shape solutions, sustain current business, and enable growth.
• The role also requires strong oversight of engineering processes, configuration and change management, airworthiness and regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver value across the complete aero product development lifecycle.
