11 months.

Principal Investigator: Prof. C. Krishna Mohan, Department of Computer Science & Engineering.

2. The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final, binding, and not subject to appeal.

3. The appointment of the selected candidate shall be governed by the terms and conditions

prescribed by the Institute and/or the funding agency overseeing the project, as applicable.

4. The selected candidate shall be required to join immediately or within 15 days from the final selection

date.

Position: Research Associate – I

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI-powered

surveillance models for real-time security applications. The candidate is expected to work on

cutting-edge solutions in the domains of computer vision, speech processing, and multimodal AI

systems, contributing to a scalable, production-ready surveillance platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time AI models for surveillance applications
• Build and optimize deep learning models for fast performance on edge and cloud systems
• Implement multi-camera streaming systems using industry standards
• Integrate models with APIs and camera systems
• Ensure fairness, bias testing, and robustness across diverse real-world conditions

Desired Qualification:

PhD in Computer Science

Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML or Computer Vision.

Skill set:

Strong expertise in Python, PyTorch / TensorFlow, OpenCV, Deep Learning frameworks

Experience with Object detection models, Face recognition systems, multi-object tracking.

Consolidated Salary: 58,000 + HRA
