We are excited to welcome a new team member to our growing organization.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\r\n\r\nICI is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Business Agronomists to join our Iron Springs & Scandia teams.\r\n\r\nThe Business Agronomist will play a key role in supporting growers through expert agronomic guidance, relationship-building, and exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is motivated to contribute to the success of the agricultural community.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHours of Work: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm with seasonal changes in workload.\r\n\r\nCompensation: Competitive wages and benefits\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\n\r\nAgronomic Support & Crop Management:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tProvide agronomic recommendations and technical support to growers throughout the growing season\r\n\tConduct regular crop scouting and field assessments to monitor crop health, weed pressure, insects, and disease concerns\r\n\tAnalyze soil, tissue, and crop data to support informed decision-making and maximize yield potential\r\n\tDeliver timely recommendations related to fertility, crop protection, seed selection, and overall crop management strategies\r\n\tStay informed on industry trends, products, and best practices to provide accurate and innovative agronomic advice\r\n\r\n\r\nClient Relationship Management:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBuild and maintain strong working relationships with existing and prospective growers\r\n\tDeliver exceptional customer service by understanding grower needs and providing tailored agronomic solutions\r\n\tConduct farm visits and maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the season\r\n\tIdentify opportunities to support grower success through products, services, and agronomic planning\r\n\tRepresent ICI in a professional and positive manner within the agricultural community\r\n\r\n\r\nSales & Business Development:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupport the promotion and sale of agronomic products and services\r\n\tCollaborate with customers to develop crop input plans and recommendations that align with their operational goals\r\n\tAssist with identifying new business opportunities and expanding the customer base within the region\r\n\tParticipate in customer appreciation events, trade shows, and community engagement initiatives\r\n\r\n\r\nTeam Collaboration & Operational Support:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tWork closely with internal teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer support\r\n\tCommunicate customer needs and field observations effectively with operations and management teams\r\n\tAssist with inventory awareness and product forecasting during peak seasons\r\n\tSupport branch operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment\r\n\r\n\r\nAdministration & Reporting:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMaintain accurate and organized records of customer interactions, agronomic recommendations, and field observations\r\n\tComplete required reporting and documentation in a timely manner\r\n\tParticipate in grower meetings, field tours, training sessions, and educational events\r\n\tPerform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDegree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.\r\n\tCertified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation or eligibility preferred but not required.\r\n\tMinimum 2 years of experience in agronomy or agricultural sales.\r\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\r\n\tFriendly, customer-focused approach with staff and suppliers, as well as with existing and prospective customers.\r\n\tAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\r\n\tValid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBENEFITS AND PERKS\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCompetitive bonus potential based on performance metrics\r\n\tBenefits package, including health and lifestyle spending accounts\r\n\tCompany vehicle use\r\n\tCasual Dress\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nInterested in joining our Team?
