Service Appointment Coordinator/ Cashier

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Service Appointment Coordinator/Cashier to join our automotive service team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth scheduling of service appointments, providing exceptional customer service, and managing cashier responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership or automotive environments, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to upselling and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule service appointments efficiently using dealership management systems
• Handle all cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding automotive repairs, services, and maintenance needs
• Promote additional services or repairs through upselling techniques to maximize customer value
• Coordinate with technicians and service advisors to ensure timely vehicle servicing
• Maintain organized records of appointments and transactions for reporting purposes
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and waiting lounge
• Friday and Saturday schedule. Possibility of full time position in future.

Skills

• Previous dealership experience or mechanic knowledge is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to effectively upsell additional services while maintaining customer trust
• Proficient in cash handling with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong sales skills with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate services
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with customers and team members
