As a Junior Data Analyst / Data Operations Associate at IMPACCT, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the construction and infrastructure industry by providing real-time access to comprehensive market data, analytics, and industry trends. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing data mining and scraping from various sources to gather raw datasets.
- Extracting and standardizing raw data to ensure accuracy and transform it into structured formats for reporting and analysis.
- Storing and managing data in Excel and SQL databases.
- Assisting in preparing datasets for dashboards and reports.
- Collaborating with senior team members to support ongoing data projects.
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, as well as familiarity with MS Office.
- Understanding of SQL, including basic queries, inserts, updates, and joins.
- Interest in data mining, scraping, and extraction techniques, along with understanding of data cleaning and transformation concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and data workflows.
It would be beneficial if you have exposure to Python (pandas, Beautiful Soup, requests), experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting, and knowledge of APIs for data extraction.
