Position Summary

IG Wealth Management is seeking a Manager, Marketing Compliance for a 6‑month term to join a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and growing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Compliance, this role plays a meaningful part on the IG Brand Strategy team by supporting corporate and advisor custom marketing requests and acting as a marketing compliance signing officer for advisor-led initiatives.

The successful candidate brings strong regulatory judgement, exceptional attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset to review, edit, and approve a wide range of client-facing advertising and marketing materials across print, digital, web, and social channels. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will also provide consultation and best practices to the Advisor network, identify trends and opportunities to leverage AI to improve efficiency, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of marketing compliance processes, tools, and resources. Accountabilities Include

  • Manage intake and prioritization of Advisor sales communication approval requests through established queues and dashboards, ensuring service levels and turnaround targets are met.
  • Review, edit, and approve advisor-led, client-facing marketing and advertising materials—including print and digital ads, websites and landing pages, social media profiles, lead-generation tools, and campaigns—ensuring alignment with IG brand standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Act as the Marketing Compliance signing officer for advisor-led marketing initiatives and advertisements, applying sound judgement and consistent governance (CIRO registration required).
  • Provide consultative guidance to Advisors and internal partners on brand, advertising, and marketing compliance best practices—offering practical, solution-oriented recommendations that enable effective marketing while managing risk.
  • Coordinate escalations and secondary reviews with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Brand, Privacy, Advanced Financial Planning) when required, ensuring appropriate oversight and documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve unapproved sales communication cases, including follow-up, documentation of outcomes, and recommending corrective actions where applicable.
  • Maintain and continuously improve team documentation, including corporate policies, procedures, playbooks, templates, and decisioning guidelines to support consistent, audit-ready compliance practices.
  • Contribute to the development, communication, and adoption of new marketing compliance processes and resources that improve clarity, consistency, and Advisor experience.
  • Support additional marketing compliance and brand initiatives and other projects as assigned, serving as a dependable cross-functional collaborator and project lead as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in marketing and/or compliance-related role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Post-secondary degree in relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or proven experience.
  • Successfully completed the Canadian Securities Institute - Investment Dealer Supervisor Course (IDSC) certification and/or currently a registered supervisor with CIRO for the approval of sales and marketing communications.
  • Strategic, creative, and innovative critical thinker with excellent independent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to complete multiple projects with challenging and frequently changing timelines.
  • Service and solution-based approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and French would be a strong asset.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and collaborate with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency on Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Gen AI tools.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is 77,500 - 94,000 which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
