This position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, and leadership teams to identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste, enhance service performance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across warehouse and transportation operations.

The role requires strong analytical capability, hands‑on process engineering experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in a fast‑paced, 24×7 logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Identify, analyze, and improve end‑to‑end logistics processes including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, cross‑dock, and transportation flows.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping, time studies, root cause analysis (RCA), and Kaizen events across multiple sites.
  • Standardize best practices across facilities while balancing client‑specific requirements.

Data Analysis & Performance Management

  • Analyze operational KPIs (productivity, cost, quality, service, safety) to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and business cases to quantify benefits (cost savings, service improvement, capacity gains).
  • Track benefits realization and sustainability of implemented initiatives.

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with site leadership and frontline teams to implement process changes with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching to supervisors and managers on CI tools and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Support adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies through structured change management.

Systems, Technology & Innovation

  • Collaborate with IT and Engineering on WMS, TMS, LMS, and automation initiatives.
  • Support system implementations, process design, and go‑live stabilization from an operational excellence perspective.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and best practices applicable to 3PL operations.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure process improvements align with Ontario Health & Safety (OHSA), Employment Standards Act (ESA), and company policies.
  • Embed safety, ergonomics, and quality considerations into all process designs.
  • Support audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement related to safety and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3–7+ years of continuous improvement, industrial engineering, or operations excellence experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Experience supporting large, labor‑intensive operations (high‑volume, multi‑shift, or 24×7 environments).
  • Advanced data analysis skills (Excel required; Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python an asset).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence without authority.

Preferred / Asset Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in a national or multi‑site 3PL or supply chain environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with WMS, TMS, or labor management systems.
  • Experience supporting automation, robotics, or warehouse layout/design projects.
  • Familiarity with Canadian occupational health & safety regulations and labor standards.

Key Competencies

  • Analytical and structured problem solver
  • Strong business acumen with cost‑to‑serve understanding
  • Change agent mindset with high emotional intelligence
  • Comfortable working on the floor and engaging frontline teams
  • Able to manage multiple projects across different sites and timelines

  • Travel between Ontario sites as required (estimated 20–40%)
  • Combination of office, warehouse, and on‑site operational environments
  • Flexible schedule to support off‑shift or weekend improvement initiatives when required

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to drive measurable impact across a national 3PL network
  • Work in a fast‑growing, customer‑focused logistics organization
  • Exposure to senior leadership and enterprise‑level initiatives
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities
