Job Description
The Junior FrontEnd Developer at Hyper Solutions supports the development and enhancement of Hyper’s Vue 3-based manufacturing execution platform used across factory operations, quality engineering, logistics, and customer-facing environments. This role contributes to building scalable, user-friendly enterprise applications that support mission-critical manufacturing processes.
This is a growth-oriented role designed for developers who want to deepen their skills in modern frontend technologies including Vue 3, TypeScript, and scalable UI architecture. The position offers structured mentorship, regular code reviews, and hands-on experience delivering real production features used daily by internal teams and customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop user interface components using Vue 3 and the Composition API based on Figma design specifications.
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs using modern data-fetching tools such as TanStack Query.
- Implement responsive user interfaces using Tailwind CSS aligned with Hyper’s design system.
- Collaborate with backend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready features.
- Participate in daily code reviews and development discussions to improve code quality and engineering practices.
- Debug and resolve application issues with guidance from senior engineering team members.
- Write documentation and usage examples for UI components and shared frontend modules.
- Follow established coding standards, linting practices, and documentation guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical deep dives, and engineering knowledge sharing sessions.
- Complete structured learning modules focused on Vue patterns, TypeScript best practices, and frontend accessibility.
- Contribute to improving component maintainability, testing coverage, and documentation quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and documenting debugging processes.
- 1–2 years of experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript in any modern framework (Vue, React, or Angular).
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals including semantic markup, flexbox, grid, and responsive design.
- Basic knowledge of Vue.js concepts including components, props, events, and directives.
- Familiarity with TypeScript fundamentals including types, interfaces, and type annotations.
- Experience using Git and collaborating through version control workflows.
- Understanding of REST APIs and common HTTP request patterns.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Vue 3 Composition API.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or utility-based styling frameworks.
- Experience with form libraries such as VeeValidate, Formik, or React Hook Form.
- Exposure to state management tools such as Pinia, Vuex, or Redux.
- Testing experience with tools such as Vitest, Jest, or Testing Library.
- Familiarity with Figma for design inspection and asset extraction.
- Experience using Chrome DevTools or Vue DevTools for debugging.
- Exposure to monorepo environments or shared component libraries.
- Experience building mobile-first or touch-friendly user interfaces.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, coding bootcamp certification, or equivalent self-taught experience.
- Portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating personal projects or code contributions.
What Success Looks Like (First 3 Months)
- Deliver small-to-medium frontend features with guidance from senior developers.
- Write initial component tests and participate actively in code reviews.
- Resolve a production bug with supervision and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Refactor existing components to improve maintainability and code quality.
- Demonstrate strong debugging practices and clear documentation of work.

Location
Remote or Onsite in Richmond, VA, depending on candidate location and business needs.
Compensation
The anticipated starting salary range for this role is 70,000-90,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications and location. This hire will be eligible for a discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
