JOB DESCRIPTION

This is not a traditional QA role.

We are looking for a senior Quality Assurance leader who can build and operationalize an enterprise-grade QA function from the ground up within a fast-growing insurance organization undergoing significant digital transformation.

This role sits at the intersection of:

• Insurance operations
• Platform quality
• Vendor release governance
• Regulatory compliance
• Salesforce-integrated ecosystems
• Operational risk management

The ideal candidate understands that quality is not limited to test execution — it is a governance function that protects underwriting integrity, operational reliability, broker experience, compliance posture, and platform stability across the entire insurance lifecycle.

You will own quality strategy across:

• Quote → Bind → Issue workflows
• Policy administration
• Claims alignment
• Billing & invoicing
• Renewals & endorsements
• Broker/member portals
• Vendor platform releases
• Salesforce-integrated processes
• Carrier and regulatory reporting

This is a highly strategic leadership role with direct influence on how quality, governance, and release management are institutionalized across the organization long-term.

Key Responsibilities

Build & Lead the QA Function

• Establish the organization’s QA vision, operating model, frameworks, governance standards, and quality processes from scratch
• Define scalable QA methodologies covering operational workflows, digital platforms, underwriting processes, and compliance controls
• Build and manage the QA roadmap, tooling strategy, team structure, and hiring plan
• Introduce standardized testing approaches, regression governance, test data discipline, and release validation frameworks
• Define KPIs, SLAs, defect management standards, and quality reporting mechanisms across business lines
• Drive a business-process-oriented QA culture across technology and operations teams

Insurance Operations & Workflow Quality

Own quality assurance across the complete insurance lifecycle, including:

• Quote / Bind / Issue flows
• Underwriting workflows
• Policy servicing
• Renewals & endorsements
• Billing and invoicing workflows
• Claims process alignment
• Broker and member servicing journeys

Responsibilities include:

• Validating underwriting rules, rating logic, policy configurations, and premium calculations
• Ensuring policy documents, endorsements, and coverage summaries are accurate and compliant
• Performing workflow validation across broker portals, member portals, and internal operational systems
• Identifying operational risks, workflow gaps, and systemic quality issues before production deployment

Strong understanding of MGA operations, delegated authority models, carrier oversight, and Lloyd’s governance standards is essential.

Salesforce & Platform Release Validation

Salesforce experience is a core requirement for this role.

You will be responsible for validating releases and business impacts across Salesforce-integrated insurance ecosystems, including:

• CRM workflows
• Broker/member portals
• External platform integrations
• Vendor-delivered releases
• API-connected systems

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct release note analysis and impact assessments
• Define risk-based regression strategies
• Own release validation, regression planning, and production signoff
• Validate cross-platform dependencies and business-critical workflows
• Build reusable regression suites and maintain regression governance standards
• Partner with engineering, product, operations, and external vendors to reduce release risk

Candidates with only pure automation/SDET backgrounds without operational insurance QA and release governance experience are unlikely to be a fit.

Digital Platform & Automation Quality

• Lead functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing initiatives across modern insurance platforms
• Validate no-code / low-code insurance platform configurations and workflows
• Support CI/CD quality gates and defect triage processes
• Build or oversee automated regression suites for business-critical insurance workflows
• Ensure dependency-aware testing coverage across integrated systems and releases
