Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to support several projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

· Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets from various sources.

· Convert and transform data within operational data bronze/silver/gold data tiers and store into consumable formats for dashboards and reports consumption.

· Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).

· Refine and automate data processes, data-flows or datasets to ensure information is collected and made available from the centralized data warehouse to the end user accurately, on-time and with minimal manual intervention.

· Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

· Document methodologies, processes, and findings in a clear and concise manner.

· Work closely with various stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy are applied in the centralized data warehouse.

· Identify opportunities, deficiencies, or gaps in data models within the organization and take ownership for the solutions.

· Provide expertise, technical advice, and guidance for clients to define data visualization, reporting, or investigation artifacts. Review feedback with client and provide best practice. Ensure that products meet client needs.

· Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

· Identify opportunities for business improvement using dashboards and exception reporting.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Paginated Reports is also required.

· Proficiency in creating and maintaining Power BI Data Models, cloud and on-prem databases as well as database languages such as T-SQL is mandatory.

· Experience with Power BI Service Administration and Microsoft Fabric is considered a strong asset.

· Knowledge in Python, MS SharePoint, Artificial Intelligence, services are preferred.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

· Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with production techniques and methodologies.

· Familiarity with oil and gas production accounting, production engineering or finance.

· Proficiency with data visualization tools.
