Mushroom FARM Production Manager

Manage the entire mushroom cultivation cycle, including substrate preparation, spawning, incubation, and harvesting of various mushroom types (e.g., button, oyster, paddy straw).

Quality and Yield Management: Implement rigorous quality control and hygiene standards to optimize crop yield and ensure product quality.

Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage farm staff and supervisors, ensuring everyone is working efficiently toward production goals.

Operational Management: Oversee daily farm operations, manage equipment, and maintain all farm buildings and machinery.

Financial and Record Management: Plan production budgets, track expenses, and maintain detailed records of production, costs, and sales.

Resource Management: Maintain and manage inventory of materials such as spawn, substrate, and equipment, and place orders as needed.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure all farm activities comply with food safety standards and government regulations. Enforce health and safety protocols for all employees.

Reporting: Provide regular performance updates and operational insights to senior management or the farm's board.

Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, or a related field. A specialization in mycology is a plus.

Experience: At least 5-8 years of hands-on experience in a commercial mushroom farm environment, with demonstrated experience managing production and personnel.

Agricultural Knowledge: Strong understanding of mushroom crop cycles, composting techniques, substrate preparation, and pest and disease control.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with modern farming methods, including climate regulation systems for growing chambers, is highly desirable.

Management Skills: Proven leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.

Communication: Excellent communication skills in both English and local languages (Bengali/Hindi) to effectively train and manage staff.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform and supervise physically demanding farm tasks.
